Even though our first priority is education, we recognize the important role that team sports plays in the healthy development of our children. Team sports is also a wonderful way to bring together communities, which in Rwanda plays an important part of the reconciliation effort. Many of these talented boys and girls have great ambitions to become football professionals and under the care of our coaches this dream may just come true for some of them.

 

Thanks to financial support and donations of soccer equipment from FROGS as well as the Fernie United Soccer Club,  (https://www.thefreepress.ca/news/young-fernie-soccer-players-dig-deep-for-rwanda/ ) we now have a number of boys and girls teams outfitted. Though shoes wear out fast and it is an ongoing struggle to keep up with the demand of the ever growing players.
